I'm sick of being sick

I've been sick for a week now, and don't seem to be getting any better. Wednesday night I felt like I couldn't put one foot in front of the other, and I missed school yesterday. I was only out of bed for a few hours, but just that exhausted me. I'm glad it's the weekend.

I am looking forward to the weekend and seeing the musical. It's been in rehearsal for so long, weren't the auditions before Christmas? With that kind of timetable, maybe the high school should give class credit for participating?

Rachel won her WYSE competition again, so she goes off the state next time...don't know when. We have reservations to visit Purdue in April, and plan to visit Washington U also, before the ACT test at the end of the month. It is time for Rachel to be narrowing down her choices so we know to whom to send her scores.

By my count, only 50 days left of school. Yeah!!!!

I love fridays

It has been a difficult week in several ways. The most intrusive aspect was the tooth extraction that left me feeling like a limp rag. Never thought something so simple could take so much out of me. The dentist thinks that it is the infection that really got me down physically besides the obvious. My gum has been draining since Saturday.

We have purchased tickets for "Anything Goes". Sarah, I purchased for you and I have extras if anyone else wants to attend. I'll probably go to all three performances. Rachel is out of town right now, attending a conference in Carlinville. She'll return tomorrow. We have made plans to tour Purdue next month and plan to make a circle east this summer to check out other colleges she is interested in. (ie: MIT) We'll be visiting at Washington U. sometime this spring. We sat down 2 nights ago and discussed the fact that she needs to make some decisions as to size of schools, urban or country setting, etc. ACT's are coming up and she needs to send her test scores to schools at that time.

Jessie, your birthday is approaching. Hope you have a good time (if you don't make it home that weekend). I won't be coming down there because of the musical.

I'm glad for this weekend...I have Monday off. Hurray for Casmir Pulaski!! He did what????
